Mission

Mac's Mission "specializes in special." Our focus is on homeless "janky" dogs who are in medical crisis and would die without the life-saving care we are able to provide. Our “all-in” mission is for animals who have suffered at the hands of abuse, gravely injured, or were simply born with a genetic defect. Most shelters and rescues do not have the time or resources to provide specialized care and, unfortunately, many animals are euthanized as a result. Our hope is to give these animals the chance they need to heal and thrive in a nurturing and loving environment. Our goal is to heal them and find the perfect forever family for them to live their best life.

About

We are a tiny but hardworking grassroots rescue based in Jackson, Missouri but we rescue nationwide. We save the ones who need us most. Many are neonatal puppies, (cleft palates/hydrocephalus newborns). We have a very extensive, experienced neonate program. Mac’s Mission is a federally recognized 501c3 non-profit and a Missouri state licensed dog rescue. We have fosters in multiple states and many in the St. Louis area. Our Mission lives by "i am pitbull strong", a federally trademarked registered slogan that we share to help raise funds so we can keep rescuing sick homeless dogs. This phrase is a way of life for us. We rely 100% on donations from our dedicated supporters.

We also help pay for costs by selling merchandise designed by one of our most dedicated volunteers. When you purchase a product in our store you help save sick puppies!!! We can not do this without our generous supporters and we thank you so much for being part of the solution to save these helpless souls.

Our Team

These are a few of the people who make this mission possible. We are so grateful for the rescues, veterinarians, sponsors, volunteers, fosters, adopters, and donors who keep our doors open. Thank you, everyone.

Safety & Background Check Policy

Mac’s Mission is committed to maintaining a safe, protective, and responsible environment for the animals in our care, our staff, our volunteers, our adopters, our visitors, and our community. For that reason, all individuals applying to be involved with Mac’s Mission in any capacity may be subject to a background check. This includes, but is not limited to, employees, volunteers, fosters, interns, transporters, community service participants, contractors, and anyone seeking regular access to our property, animals, programs, or events. Mac’s Mission has a zero-tolerance policy for registered sex offenders and individuals with violent criminal histories. Registered sex offenders and individuals with convictions involving violence, abuse, assault, exploitation, neglect, or crimes that raise safety concerns will not be permitted to serve as staff, volunteers, fosters, interns, community service participants, or representatives of Mac’s Mission. Participation with Mac’s Mission is a privilege, not a right. We reserve the right to deny, restrict, suspend, or terminate involvement with any person whose background, conduct, history, or behavior may place our animals, people, property, reputation, or mission at risk. Our first responsibility is protection. We will always choose safety over convenience, popularity, pressure, or personal feelings.

There are no exceptions.
